Q:Greetings. Not a question, but more an appreciation of your post about the PI. I teared because its about a land my soul calls home. I've been back many times since 04 for my human rights work. The conditions you described I know are very real & very humbling. As a fellow dancer, I've had the privilege of teaching dance there to the youth of urban poor communities. I commend you & look forward to reading your experiences! My short vid of my time there: search "Mga Ugat ng Mandarayuhan" on Vimeo.

Hey hey,

Thanks so much for the message!  I really respect the kind of work you’re doing and wish you luck.  You must have a big heart and your courage inspires me.

I’m glad you’re able to relate.  I want to read up and study on the Filipino lifestyle before I actually get there.  I know it’s gonna be completely different and I wanna get acquainted with the customs as quickly as possible so I know what’s up.

I’ll check out your video!  Thanks for the support :D  I’m really grateful for the connections Tumblr has opened up for me outside of the dance world.
